The faces behind ConserVentures Charitable Organization:
We are Roseann & Jonathan Hanson and we founded ConserVentures in 2010. We have over three decades experience as explorers and expedition leaders in North and South America and in Africa, as well as two decades of experience with conservation and community development organizations large and small.
We keep things simple: We promote conservation through exploration. Exploration leads to personal connections, personal connections lead to awareness, and awareness leads to action, face-to-face. ConserVentures helps make that happen.
Our board, advisors, and founders volunteer their time; when needed, we hire experts to work on projects or conduct trainings.
Funds come from donations and grants. The Overland Expo is our for-profit venture that contributes a portion of its proceeds to ConserVentures for charitable work each year. Exhibitors also get involved as Charity Partners, contributing funds and donated products for raffles.
